The Fire Safety Order 2005 and the associated Health & Safety legislation
place an obligation on employers to ensure that their staff are provided
with adequate fire safety training. The level and frequency of staff fire
training is determined by the type, use and risk presented. Firesure UK
Ltd will assess the individual needs and advise on a suitable programme
of training for your employees.
As no two premises are alike our speciality is to tailor courses to
the client’s needs. We provide both bespoke courses and a number
of standard packages with interaction between instructor and students.
This ensures that the content meets the requirements of your employees
keeping both them and your workplace safe.
Our courses include:
- Employers responsibilities and employees duties to co-operate
and assist
- Instruction and discussion on the structural and passive
fire safety measures
relevant to the premises
- Fire Prevention including the triangle of fire and
the importance of general fire
safety awareness and good housekeeping
- Fire routines relevant to the premises
including if appropriate practical training in
how to evacuate non-ambulant occupants
- Practical training in the use of any portable equipment provided to assist staff in the evacuation of occupants.
- Instruction on portable fire fighting
equipment including if desired a demonstration
using the ‘fire simulator’ followed by practical use of equipment.
- Procedures
for checking a premises and entering a room where a fire is suspected
including a practical demonstration in ‘clean’ smoke
and what to do if trapped

All courses include student notes which are available in various languages
on request.
Competent staff will deliver the training, complete all appropriate
records, entries in the fire safety log book and ensure that certificates
are provided where required. Training can be exclusively in-house or
shared with other employers at an appropriate venue.

1 hour duration (1.25 hours with ‘real’ fire simulator)

2 Modules @ 1.5 hours per module
