Steve Woodford formed the company in 1999 after gaining 34 years of experience as a senior operational/fire safety manager in Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
In 2004 Steve was joined by Paul Saltmarsh who had
served 30 years with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service in a similar role. With our knowledge of fire prevention and protection we are able to develop risk proportionate cost effective solutions without compromising safety. This may include alternative solutions to benchmark fire safety standards contained within various codes and technical guidance. Being independent of any contractor, supplier or installer we are able to offer unbiased and impartial advice on all aspects of fire safety to clients by undertaking fire risk assessments, fire safety audits and plan surveys of industrial, commercial and residential premises. In addition, together with Peter Hill who gained 31 years operational and training experience with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, we offer a number of commercial training courses. Third Party AccreditationThe fire risk assessment market has become saturated with ‘consultants’ with varying degrees of skill and knowledge offering their services so where does the responsible person look for sound advice? The Institution of Fire Engineers, as the leading organisation in the field
of fire, has taken the initiative by setting up a Register of Fire Risk Assessors
and Auditors. This ensures that anyone requiring the services of a fire safety
consultant can refer to the Register to verify the credentials of their choice
of assessor.
