Company History

Formed in 1999, Firesure UK Ltd has developed into one of the principal fire safety consultancies in the UK. The company has a nationwide client base and prides itself on its ability to provide an unrivalled professional service to business.

With our knowledge of fire prevention and protection, we are able to develop balanced risk proportionate and cost effective solutions without compromising safety. This may include alternative solutions to benchmark fire safety standards contained within the various fire codes and technical guidance.

The Team

Steve Woodford GIFireE MIFPO MCMI - Managing Director

As a former Senior Fire Safety Manager with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and with over 40 years within the fire industry, Steve has extensive technical expertise and practical experience. Over the last 11 years, he has used his wealth of experience to advise clients on fire safety matters. Steve is a Graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers, a registered Fire Risk Assessor on the Institution of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors and Auditors, a Member of the Institution of Fire Prevention Officers and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute. Steve undertakes fire risk assessments, surveys, plan consultations, training and provides general advice.

Paul Saltmarsh MBA, GIFireE, IAAI - Consultant

Paul is a former Senior Fire Safety Manager with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service with over 35 years experience in the fire safety industry. Paul has a Masters of Business Administration postgraduate degree, is a Graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers, a registered Fire Risk Assessor on the Institution of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors and Auditors and a Member of the International Association of Arson Investigation. As an experienced fire safety advisor, Paul undertakes fire risk assessments, plan consultations, carries out training and provides general advice.

Keith Barnes GIFireE - Consultant

Keith served as a Fire Safety Officer with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and as a Manager with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service. With over 32 years within the fire industry, Keith is a Graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers and also holds an HND in Fire Command and Management. As an experienced Fire Safety advisor and former Operational supervisory Fire Officer, Keith has a wide range of experience in respect to hazard identification and risk management. Keith undertakes fire risk assessments, plan consultations, carries out training and provides general advice.
